Outbreak of Salmonella Newport

Whooping cough cases increase

Cases of whooping cough (pertussis) reported to the Health Protection Agency (HPA) in England and Wales have more than doubled from 421 cases in 2010 to 1040 in 2011. Antenatal and Postnatal Care
This is offered by doctors.

Cervical Smears
Cervical Smears are undertaken by the practice nurses. Cervical Smears are done every three years for females between the ages of 25 to 49 and every 5 years between the ages of 50 to 60.

Well Woman and Man Clinic
These are run by our practice nurses.

Contraception and Family Planning Clinic
Contraceptive Services and advice are provided by the doctors during surgery hours and by nurses.

Minor Surgery
We perform certain types of minor surgical procedures such as joint injection and removal of stitches, treating warts, verrucas and removal of certain lumps

Travel Advice and Immunisation Clinic
This is offered by the nurses and the doctors. Please book at least for weeks in advance.

Test Results

bloodsamples For your test results please telephone the surgery on 0844 477 3961 between 12.00pm and 1.00pm.

Please allow 10-14 working days for your test results to come back from the hospital unless your doctor has advised otherwise.

Please note that x-ray results take a little longer.

Non NHS Examinations and Certificates

Medical examination and certificates for special purposes including driving licenses, insurance, travel certificate and pre-employment medicals are provided by the doctors. These are not part of doctors NHS duties and therefore a fee recommended by the British Medical Association will be payable.
